What regular stretching does
01
More range
Hips, hamstrings and shoulders reach further. Range grows after two weeks or more of regular stretching.1
02
Feel less stiff
Your back and hips feel less stiff after long days at a desk, in the car or on a plane.
03
Easier everyday moves
Tying your shoes. Reaching a high shelf. Lifting a suitcase onto the rack.
04
Time to switch off
For the whole session, someone else does the work. You lie still and breathe.

How it works
What happens in a session
Every session follows the same four steps. The practitioner guides each stretch and checks your comfort as you go.
-
Health check
Questions about your health, injuries, surgery and medication. Then we ask for your consent. If a doctor should clear you first, we tell you.
-
Mobility check
The practitioner tests how your hips, back and shoulders move today. You tell us where you feel stiff.
-
The stretch
You rate each stretch from 0 to 10. We stay between 2 and 4: a clear stretch that stays comfortable. Say stop, and we stop.
-
Two stretches for home
You leave with two short stretches for the days between sessions. We also suggest when to come back. If every two weeks is enough, we say so.
Who it's for
You don't need to be flexible.
Most people start stiff. We adjust each stretch to your body.
-
At a desk all day
Hours of sitting can leave your shoulders, back and hips stiff. Tell us where you feel it. We start there.
-
Runners and cyclists
Calves, hamstrings and hips carry every kilometre. Regular stretching adds range to all three.
-
Sport and training
Lifting, padel, skiing and athletics all use your hips, back and shoulders. Tell us your sport, and we choose the stretches.
-
Always meaning to stretch
Stretching is easy to put off. Book a slot and lie down. We do the rest.
-
After a long trip
Long flights, train days and big hikes can leave your hips and back stiff. A session helps them move more easily.
-
Later in life
Staying mobile matters at every age. We hold each stretch a little longer.

The session
What is assisted stretching?
A practitioner moves your body into a stretch and holds it for you. You lie on a padded table and relax. The practitioner checks your comfort throughout.
What happens in my first session?
We start with the health check. Then we ask what you want to work on. The practitioner checks how your hips, back and shoulders move. Most of the time goes to stretching. At the end, you get two stretches for home, and we suggest when to come back.
What should I wear?
Everyday clothes you can move in. Trousers with some stretch work best. Your clothes stay on, and we use no oil. There is nothing to bring.
Does it hurt?
It should not. You rate each stretch from 0 to 10. We work between 2 and 4: a clear stretch that stays comfortable. Say stop at any time, and we stop.
Will I feel sore afterwards?
You may feel slightly sore for up to a day. That is normal. Sharp pain, numbness or tingling needs a doctor. Please tell us too.
How is it different from massage or physiotherapy?
Massage works on the muscle tissue. Assisted stretching moves your joints through their range. Physiotherapy diagnoses and treats injuries, and we do neither. A session can sit alongside massage or physiotherapy.
Why not just stretch at home?
Please do. Stretching at home helps, and we give you two stretches for it. On our table, a practitioner holds each stretch for you, so you can relax completely. Someone also checks your comfort at every step.
Who will stretch me?
A trained practitioner. The practitioner starts with a health check, asks your consent for each area and stops at any warning sign.
Is it for me?
Do I need to be flexible?
No. Feeling stiff is a good reason to come.
I'm over 60. Is it right for me?
Often, yes. We hold each stretch a little longer. The health check decides, at any age.
I have back pain or an injury. Can you help?
We do not treat pain or injuries. If pain is your reason to come, please see a doctor or physiotherapist first. Assisted stretching adds range and eases the feeling of stiffness.
Who needs a doctor first?
Some people need a doctor's clearance or a pause first.
- An acute injury, or pain as your reason to come: please see a doctor or physiotherapist.
- A joint replacement, recent surgery or a fracture: we need clearance and any range limits from your doctor.
- Pregnancy: we do not offer sessions during pregnancy at the moment.
Some other conditions also need clearance. The health check before your first session covers them.
How often should I come?
For general mobility, we suggest a session every one to two weeks. To work on one area, come weekly for four to six weeks. Then we review. Two short stretches at home help in between. If you need us less often, we tell you.
How soon will I notice a difference?
A session can leave you feeling less stiff. More range takes repetition. Studies report gains after two weeks or more of regular stretching (Konrad et al., 2024).
Can I come with my partner or a friend?
Yes. Book a Duo session and stretch side by side.
Rates and booking
When and where do you open?
We will confirm the date and the address soon. The waitlist hears them first.
What does it cost?
We share the founding rates with the waitlist before we open.
How long is a session?
25 or 50 minutes. For your first session we recommend 50 minutes. That leaves time for the health check and the mobility check.
Does health insurance pay for it?
We don't know yet. Please ask your insurer about your supplementary cover.
Do you come to offices?
Yes. On a Stretch day, a practitioner brings a portable table to your office. Each person gets a 25-minute session in everyday clothes. Write to hi@length.club to plan a Stretch day.
